Content Removal Guidelines – Takedown Request

Mindpirates.org enforces clear and legally compliant content removal procedures in strict accordance with intellectual property laws (including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act), privacy regulations, and other applicable digital media statutes. We formally process and act upon takedown notices for a variety of legal grounds, including but not limited to copyright infringement, privacy violations, defamation, non-consensual intimate imagery, and illegal content.

As a host of user-generated material, our Terms of Service require all content submitters to warrant and confirm they hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any uploaded content. While our proprietary automated systems and human moderation teams proactively scan for and remove obviously prohibited items, we rely on rights holders and affected individuals to identify and report specific, unique infringements.

Upon receipt of a complete and valid request, our standard escalation and enforcement protocol typically includes:

Required Information for a Valid Takedown Request

To ensure the swiftest possible processing of your claim, your formal takedown request must include the following six (6) elements:

  1. Requester Identification: Your full legal name, your specific relationship to the content (e.g., rights holder, subject, authorized agent), and proof of authorization to file the claim.
  2. Exact Content Location: The complete, direct URL(s) and any relevant file identifiers or titles for each specific instance of content.
  3. Legal Basis: A clear and specific statement identifying the precise violation type (e.g., Copyright Infringement, Privacy Violation under CCPA/GDPR, Defamation).
  4. Supporting Evidence: Documentation proving your ownership or rights (e.g., copyright registration, government ID for privacy, court order).
  5. Official Contact Information: Your current physical mailing address, direct telephone number, and an official email address for correspondence.
  6. Declaration of Accuracy: A physical or electronic signature, accompanied by a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

We adhere to formal DMCA procedures for copyright claims. For requests based on other legal grounds (such as the “right to be forgotten” under GDPR, unlawful content, or trademark infringement), we evaluate each submission under the applicable laws and our internal policies.

Please send all complete takedown submissions to our designated Compliance Officer. Incomplete or improperly formatted requests will experience significant processing delays. Please be advised that, unless explicitly prohibited by law or court order, we may provide a full copy of your notice to the user who submitted the content in question.
